Ok! Ok! So I’m guilty, I’ve never actually jammed out to Van Halen but who says I can’t support them? Well when a random but loyal fan of theirs walks up to you saying “That’s a SICK shirt” and continues to rant about their favorite songs it may be an issue. Although I found just smiling and nodding intensely will suffice, just smile and nod, just smile and nod I repeatedly told myself. What am I expressing here? Nothing other than what to do when you rock a vintage band T-shirt and don’t know any of the songs =)
Not quite sure how to turn your ordinary tee into a LOOK well i’m here to help! I’m sharing with you three different ways you can wear your vintage rock T-shirt or ordinary graphic tee. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, if you naturally venture to jeans try a different bottom of choice, bringing us to the first look ROCKER GLAM.
ROCKER GLAM
Pair your T-shirt with a feminine skirt to switch up your look. I went with this rusty orange skirt which falls right below the knee and once I noticed the pockets I was sold.
To complete the look grab your favorite pumps and viola you’re edgy but still classy, best of both worlds.
COOL CALM & COLLECTED
For the next look, I wanted to be a bit more casual ya know, cool, calm, and collected. Therefore I went for a slouchy boyfriend printed pant. These pants happen to fall right at my ankles but to make it more relaxed I cuffed the pant to my mid- calf.
As far as shoes go, I went for an everyday heel to keep that casual feel yet the heel still dressed it up a bit. The heels i’m wearing here are by Franco Sarto from Nordstrom and they are extremely comfortable!
DENIM BLUES
You can never go wrong denim and I mean NEVER! Jeans go with pretty much any and everything. I love these because of how they fade into a lighter wash towards the hem.
Also a pair of ripped denim would’ve been perfect too but I’m waiting on the perfect pair by DYLANTHOMAS as seen in my previous blog NAKeD with Debilzan
I always like to accessorize and make the outfit true to my style so I went with some fun snake skin wedges and my favorite cheetah belt to make it bit more fun! If you don’t know the story behind this awesome belt make sure to check outGot it for the low low
I also re-designed the shirt, when I first got it I literally could’ve worn it as a dress (which maybe could’ve been another look), so I cut it into this awesome crop style. I will be uploading a DIY to help you take your ordinary oversized T-Shirt and turn it into a go to piece in your closet very soon so look out for that.
I hope this gives you some fun inspiration!
